We celebrate Memorial Day to honor those who fought for our freedom in the military service. Because of all the service members that protected our borders, we lived our everyday lives knowing we were protected and someone was always keeping watch over our security. We are eternally grateful.
With that freedom, we were able live and dream and discover all that life had in store for us. That freedom reigns in our thoughts also. There are times that we hold ourselves prisoner to our own thoughts, forgetting that there is also someone/something greater watching over us, protecting us. We have the freedom of thought, we can choose any thought, but many times we think of all the things that went wrong, what wasn’t accomplished, how it didn’t work out how we had hoped.
This week, in honor of the service men and women, let’s live with the license of freedom to think the thoughts that we really want. The thoughts that make us smile, feel lighter, kinder and more compassionate to our fellow man/woman and to ourselves, especially to ourselves.
