How to Respond to Negative Events

Have you ever noticed how we get into arguments in our head with someone that we are upset with, or an event that hurt our feelings, and we play it over and over in our minds?

The only place anything can ever happen is right now and in our perception of it.

When we replay the upsetting event, all we do is give the negative thing more energy to gather up more negative events. Sometimes we need to just put the brakes on the thoughts that we don’t want and change it up with music, surrounding yourself with people or things that make you happy, a movie, a road trip, a glorious walk. Something to change the state of that energy that is bogging us down.

It is in our power to feel any way that we choose to feel. Choose the feeling that lifts you up!
